These are a few of my favorite things…

Rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens. There are so many beautiful wedding details coming out on newsstands, television and from some of my most delightful clients (love you guys!) that I just have to share. Let me know what you think!
Clockwise…
(1) I love K’s Chocolate. I love to eat it, first and foremost. I also love to give it as a gift in this gorgeous handmade paper bouquet box. Beautiful favor for your wedding or shower and comes in a zillion colors.
(2) This long “paper bag” clip is from a DIY page. What I love about this is how they looped the satin ribbon with the note through the paper- kind of earthy and shiny at the same time.
(3) Dragees= yummy almonds with candy coating. Some people love them and so don’t but if you’re Italian (I am) they are a staple at weddings. Usually an ugly staple in a tulle bag with icky ribbon. This is idea is from my days at Martha and is as whimsical and beautiful as ever. Get truly delicious dragees in nearly any color at Gourmandise in Beverly Hills (or stop in for a sample and tell Dawn I say “hello”).
(4) This glass piece has vows written on the back of it with the couples names and wedding date on the front. I think it could be really lovely, though I’ve not seen it in person. You could also put a reading or poem on it, pretty right?
(5) I still like the cuff-links with photos. A recent bride put photos of her soon-to-be’s belated grandparents. They were beautiful and touching.
(6) Glue dots are lifesavers. I love them! They can close a showy top, keep a necklace from swiveling (don’t you just hate it when you’ve got a great necklace on only to have the closure sitting with it at all times?), and a mend all for hems gone awry. The “super adhesives” are the best and with the exception of cloth (which needs a little tug and dry cleaning) they pull right off like a band aide.
(7) Last is an example of great photography. This moment is brought to you by Robin Layton Photography. When I see this photo I feel like I am there and quickly remember how much I love my work!
That’s all for now but there is more to come…. I’m trying to get some video on this blog, wish me luck!
