Gotta have S’more!

July 20th, 2010

Smores Treats

Wish I came up with that adorable Tag line, but it’s the name of the company! Gotta have S’more is a line of mouthwatering treats in the form of s’mores. When founder, Carmen Lindner, couldn’t sleep one night this tasty idea came to life. With some late night thinking and baking experiments, the S’muffin was made! We picked up samples and couldn’t believe how delicious and cute they were. They may seem like too much sweet in a bite, but the different flavors and texture was to die for. They come in Milk Chocolate, Caramel, Dark Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Cookies n’ Creme to name a few! You can try these treats at Platine Cookies in Culver City or have them delivered by ordering online at the Gotta Have S’more Website. Gotta have S’more also loves to pay it forward and donates a portion of the proceeds to support Women for Woman International. Sweetness all around!

Add some flavor to your tables (literally)!

February 1st, 2010

Want to add a little spice to your reception tables? Opt on the traditional salt and pepper shaker sets and in place use a creative little number like those below. Whether you are going for a romantic feel, tropical setting, vintage theme, or simply want to add some fun, there’s a shaker set for any style. Do you and the significant other share a favorite animal, place or inside joke? Look for shaker sets that can personalize your wedding. Great for adding some fun details and for conversation starters at the table! Also, look for pieces that fit within your wedding colors and style, and that don’t steal the spotlight without looking overtly cheesy. Don’t know what to do with them after the wedding? Have a little giveaway by putting a sticker under a chair at the table for the lucky receiver or simply pass them along as gifts!

You can find affordable, unique shaker sets on wedding favor websites. The ones found below were all under $5 each on My Wedding Favors, Fays Favors, ABC Favor, and My Wedding Reception Ideas.

Favor your loved ones

January 22nd, 2010

Couples are always looking for creative ways to show their gratitude and thank their guests or wedding party. Below are two favor ideas that caught our eye thanks to Martha Stewart Weddings!

The first idea would be great for a wedding with a small guest list or simply just for the bridal party. We like the idea of using them as the escort cards. The names are hand calligraphed on top of the box for the elegant look. And inside, as the gift is a rubber stamp of the guest’s name, which is also in the hand calligraphed font. A specialty vendor or craft supply store can create the rubber stamps for you. Tie a cute ribbon around the box and you’re good to go! Such a great gift, perfect for the guests stationary. Don’t forget the table number on the box if used as escort cards!

Idea number two are these little darling etched flowerpots. Again, perfect gifts for your bridal party or end of the night favors. Shot glasses or little glass tumblers can be used as the flowerpots. For a personalized look, you can etch the flowerpots with your bridal party’s names or put your monogram and date of the wedding for guest favors. How to etch the glass? You can have them professionally done or buy etching powder from a craft supply store (like Michael’s). The etching solution is prepared and once set on the glass, it dissolves and creates the carved look. Martha Stewart suggests buying a bed of pansies from a flower shop and placing them inside the flowerpot for the guest to later plant at their home!
