Two Birds Bridesmaid Dresses

September 22nd, 2009

Two Birds Bridesmaid

At a recent bridal show I came across Two Birds Bridesmaid dresses. While this was not the first time that I have seen them I was once again taken. This versatile line can truly be worn by bridesmaids of all shapes and sizes in a variety of ways. The owner and creator Ariane Goldman has created a gorgeous line of dresses in a multitude of colors. If you would like to see more (as well as “how to” create the looks above) check out her user friendly website. Should you like to try one on you can borrow a dress by going online or visit your local Bella Bridesmaid store.

Bridal Hat Trick

June 28th, 2008

My Grandmother is a huge Lakers fan. In her honor, I offer three of my top picks. Hat tricks aren’t always as easy as this one, promise.
First thing, first. I fall in love quickly. So I have to introduce you to a bridesmaid gown line that I love. Worth a look- or seven. Twobirds Bridesmaid dresses. Same dress, that can be worn a handful of ways (wrap and twist and tie). Their website shows the “how to’s”. You pick the color, your girls order the dress and together you decide on the style that suites them and you. Very cool and custom colors are available.

Where might one find these treasures? At Bella Bridesmaid in Los Angeles (look on their website for national locations). I met with the girls (Shelley and Andrina) in the studio this past week. Recently I have heard of myriad of issues about all of those popular, crowded, in-it-to-win it salons, this one is a big breath of sweet serenity. This boutique has a host of designers (I needn’t name drop) and they’ll take care of you and your girls. Make sure to make an appointment because only one group of girls can be there at a time. Very personal service. Say hi to Andrina for me, she is a  doll, and her wedding is just three weeks away!

What completes a trifecta? The perfect day with your girls, satisfaction guaranteed. Something sweet and ultra-fem. I love sweets and have been following cupcakes since the tiered cover of Martha Stewart Weddings, way back when. What’s the newest better thing? Macarons. What? No no, not the coconut and chocolate confections of the corner cafe. Check out Paulette Macarons in Beverly Hills. Delicate, unique, handmade, double-decker sweets. My favorites are Carmel Pecan and the Caribbean chocolate. They are so beautiful and as light as air. (Sorry Vanilla, I still love you.)

Tell the boys you’ve just planned a hat trick, it’ll make my Grandmother and any sport fan impressed.

She shoots- you score!
