Sunset Tower Hollywood History

Oh Hollywood, you’re so glamorous! On a recent walkthrough at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Hollywood, I was told of its old hollywood glamour and thought I would share! Basically all the old movie stars made their way through this hotel. It was originally built in the late 1920’s and such starlets that lived here were Jean Harlow, Greta Garbo, Mae West, Marilyn Monroe, and Elizabeth Taylor. Imagine to be in the presence of these lady legends!
Past to Present Facts:
The current spa & salon used to be Actor John Wayne’s apartment. He would keep a pet cow on the balcony for fresh milk for his guests. The current Tower bar housed American Gangster Bugsy Siegel’s illegal gambling practices. He was asked to leave following his arrest. Actor Howard Hughes would have several apartments to keep his many mistresses. What a player! Singer Frank Sinatra had the infamous bachelor pad and was known to propose to actress Ava Gardner several times. The celebrities now and then know how to make history!
